What to Include
A sentence stating the study’s objective (unless given in the title); a brief statement of methods, if pertinent; a summary of the results obtained; and a statement of conclusions.
Title and Abstract Formatting
- For the title: Use a short, specific title entered in sentence-style capitalization. DO NOT use a period; DO NOT place your title in quotes
- DO NOT write names, titles, or abstracts in ALL CAPS.
- Use standard abbreviations for units of measure, other abbreviations should be spelled out in full at first mention, followed by abbreviation in parentheses (exceptions: RNA, DNA, etc.)
- DO NOT include tables, charts, or other figures.
- The abstract text is limited to 300 words
- Use font/size: Calibri 11
Be sure to PROOFREAD your work carefully before submissions. No changes can be made to any portion of the abstract after the deadline!
Submission/Deadlines
- Please send all abstracts to hcox9@gmu.edu
- Please include “ASIC Oct 2024 Abstract ” in the subject line
- Please include your Name in the File (i.e. ASIC_Oct_2024_Abstract_Smith)
